Our research group offers outstanding graduate training leading to MSc degrees. Applicants should have a BSc / BHSc degree in Cell Biology, Health Sciences, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or similar disciplines and need a GPA equivalent of at least 3.5 / 4.0 and/or first class honours to be competitive. Our students are generally registered within the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine, either within the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology graduate program or the Medical Sciences (Cancer Biology) graduate program. The MSc program generally takes 2.5 years to complete, and comes with an option to transfer to the PhD program within the first 2 years, pending supervisory approval.
All graduate students pay tuition fees to the University of Calgary, the benefits of which include tax-exempt salary status, health and dental insurance, yearly unlimited transit passes (rail and bus) and unlimited access to the University’s fitness facilities.
